The sun's path is the arc it draws across your sky in a day — high and long in summer, low and short in winter, always tilted by your latitude.

Its height is set by your latitude and the season, its length by the day's. The tilt of the arc away from vertical equals your latitude: overhead at the equator, leaning to the south in the north, and lying almost along the horizon near the poles.
