The sun's path is the arc it draws across your sky each day, high in summer and low in winter.

You stand at the middle of your horizon. The dots are the sun’s path today, warm where the light turns golden; the stage opens at this minute. Slide through the day, or drag the sky to turn it.
How Sol measures it.
Its height is set by your latitude and the season, its length by the day's. The tilt of the arc away from vertical equals your latitude: overhead at the equator, leaning to the south in the north, and lying almost along the horizon near the poles. The compass shows the ground it covers today, from the bearing it rose at to the one it sets at.
